ACTS Performing Arts Center is having auditions for Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient
Express, adapted by Ken Ludwig, Directed by Maria Ackley. It is a thrilling, stylish mystery
filled with secrets, suspicion, and one of the most famous detectives in literature, Hercule Poirot.
Auditions will be Thursday, February 26th 7-9PM and Sunday, March 1st 4-6PM
Auditions will be held at Forty Below, 40 Irvine Avenue, Sharon PA
Auditioners will be asked to read from the script as well as some selected monologues.
Performance dates are: May 8-10 & 15-17
We are seeking a dynamic ensemble of actors to portray a train full of fascinating characters,
each with a past… and each with something to hide. Accents, and bold character choices are
encouraged.
The Cast includes:
Hercule Poirot- 40’s -60’s- Famous Belgian detective -meticulous , witty and charismatic
Monsieur Bouc- 30’s-60’s- A Belgian Gentleman, Director of the Train Company, energetic and
comedic
Mary Debenham- 25-40’s- An English Governess with a secret, there is a sadness about her
Hector McQueen- 20’s-40’s- Very nervous and talkative Personal secretary to Mr. Ratchett
Samuel Ratchett- 35-65- Businessman from the states, rude with a criminal past
Princess Dragomiroff- 50’s-70’s- Russian Aristocracy, dignified and intimidating
Greta Ohlsson- 20’s-50’s- Swedish Missionary, very devout, wears heart on her sleeve
Countess Elena Andrenyi- 20-40-Hungarian royalty- Elegant , refined and mysterious
Caroline Hubbard- outspoken American from the Midwest, loud, brash and chatty
Michel-Conductor/Head Waiter-30-50-competent, Organized, French Accent
Daisy Armstrong- Not seen- Child-like Voice Over
