Area Community Theatre of Sharpsville will be holding auditions for Bus Stop by William Inge on Sunday, March 1st from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and Tuesday, March 3 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the former Sacred Heart Church, 40 S. Irvine Ave., Sharon, PA.

The play will be presented May 15, 16, 17, 23 and 24 on the stage at First Presbyterian Church, 600 East State St. Sharon, PA.
Roles call for 3 women.
Grace- from 30 to 50’s
Elma- from 18 to early twenties
And Cherie- in her twenties.

Reading will be from the script and directed by Maria Ackley.

*Set in a Bus Stop diner 25 miles west of Kansas City, Kansas in March 1955 during a blizzard. This ensemble piece is an actors delight as the enforced layover due to weather brings out comedy, romance and secrets of 8 strangers.

The Area Community Theatre of Sharpsville (ACTS) presents the Broadway musical Oklahoma! Oklahoma is the first musical written by the team of composer Richard Rodgers and librettist Oscar Hammerstein II. The musical is based on Lynn Riggs' 1931 play, Green Grow the Lilacs. Set in farm country outside the town of Claremore, Indian Territory, in 1906, it tells the story of farm girl Laurey Williams and her courtship by two rival suitors.

Note: This show will be at Buhl Park Casino, 715 Hazen Road, Hermitage, Pennsylvania. Venue is handicap accessible

 
Bus Stop
May 15 - 24th 2020

The Area Community Theatre of Sharpsville (ACTS) presents the play Bus Stop. A romantic comedy set in a diner about 25 miles west of Kansas City in early March 1955. A freak snowstorm has halted the progress of the bus, and the eight characters (five on the bus) have a weather-enforced layover in the diner. Romantic or quasi-romantic relationships ensue. Presented with cabaret style seating.
